West London Mental Health Trust
West London Mental Health Trust’s annual report photography was done over a long working day at the Trust’s London headquarters and in the trusts catchment area.
While patients gave their approval and were photographed, the majority of the photographs were taken using volunteer members of the public.
All photos that were eventually used in the Trust’s annual report were of people who volunteered to represent those availing of the trusts care and support.
With his background in photojournalism, our lead photographer Stephen Bradley shot used a mix of daylight and off camera flash and reflectors to create photographs that portrayed the relaxed environments which the Trust has developed to maximize patient recovery and welfare.
The colours and contract of the photographs were them enhanced in Photoshop to create a unique look, that ensured the mental health trusts annual report stood out from the crowd and effectively engaged those viewing it.
The Trust commissioned our lead photographer to create a series of lifestyle photographs to show how those affected by mental illness benefit from the services of the Trust.
Working on location at West London Mental Health Trust, and in the neighbourhoods supported by the Trust, our photographer created photographs that showed how mental health issues impact on the lives of patients of the Trust, for this mental health annual report.
With his background in photojournalism, working for clients including The Economist and Newsweek, our photographer used a photojournalistic style of photography to draw attention to the person and their condition for this mental health annual report.
Because of its sensitive nature, most people photographed were volunteers and were photographed in everyday situations to depict how mental health issues impact the lives of those affected by them.
Due to a tight schedule, photography was done over a long working day and was incorporated within the design of the Trust’s Mental Health Annual Report (by Lucid Graphics), and printed within 10 working days.
